There is a raw, honest beauty in the way we play sports away from the bright lights. Based in Cambridgeshire, I spend my time documenting grassroots and non-league football, alongside the quiet precision of golf, across the Eastern Counties and beyond. For me, a photograph is a success only when it transcends the visual. If you can feel the bite of the cold air or hear the unmistakable rhythm of studs across the pitch just by looking at a frame, then I know I have truly captured the soul of the beautiful game.
